US Bowling Warranty Schedule – 2023

  1. Whom This warranty Covers
    1. Original Buyer. This warranty is made to the original buyer (“Buyer”) only and is not transferable without U.S. Bowling Corporation’s (“Seller”) prior written consent, except that a buyer of new equipment who is a general residential contractor may transfer this warranty to the owner of the residence where the products are installed.
    2. Contingent on Payment and Signing Contract Certificate.    Sellers warranty obligations are contingent on Buyer’s payment in full in accordance with the applicable payment schedule and, if applicable, signing the completion certificate when presented by Seller or Seller-authorized installer.
  1. What This Warranty Covers

Unless otherwise indicated below, Seller warrants new products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for periods set forth below. Seller provides no warranty for pinsetters, US Bowling Scoring, Kegel Lane Machines, Z-bump Bumpers, Lighted Capping, Media Mask Video Screens, Ball Racks, Power lifts, Seating, Lane System components, Center Network Systems and software not installed by Seller or Seller-authorized installer.

Normal maintenance repairs, procedures and adjustments are the responsibility of Buyer and are not covered under the terms of this warranty.

  1. String Machines (all types) installed by a Seller-authorized installer
    1. Electrical Components – Motors, gearboxes, PC Boards and cables- 2 years after installation.
    2. Mechanical Components – All major mechanical components are covered against manufactures defects – 2 years after installation
    3. Normal Wear Components– Normal daily wear items, including but not limited to rubber components, belts, bushings and bearings – 90 days after installation
  2. Premium Remanfuctured 82-90XL Pinspotters installed by a Seller-authorized installer
    1. Electrical Components – Chassis, motors, gearboxes and cables- 2 years after installation.
    2. Mechanical Components – All major mechanical components are covered against manufactures defects – 2 years after installation
    3. Normal Wear Components– Normal daily wear items, including but not limited to rubber components, belts, bushings and bearings – 90 days after installation
  3. Premium Remanufactured Brunswick A-2 pinsetters installed by Seller-authorized installer
    1. Electrical Components – Chassis, motors, gearboxes and cables- 2 years after installation.
    2. Mechanical Components – All major mechanical components are covered against manufactures defects – 2 years after installation
    3. Normal Wear Components– Normal daily wear items, including but not limited to rubber components, belts, bushings and bearings – 90 days after installation
  4. Synthetic Lanes installed by a Seller-authorized installer
    1. USBC® Specifications– Seller warrants that synthetic lanes will meet or exceed USBC specifications for 30 days after installation.
    2. Breaks, Cracks and Wear– Seller warrants the USB MML-3000 against breaks and cracks on the top of the surface only and against wear deeper than the printed layer of laminate for 6 years after installation.
    3. USB MML-3000 – Seller warrants the MML-3000 against delamination for as long the original Buyer owns them. Note: For purposes of this warranty, “delamination” is defined to be the separation of the lane such that one or more of its layers returns to its original state as an individual sheet of material.
    4. Pindecks– 5 years after installation.
    5. Lane Foundation and Kickbacks– 1 year after installation   

  1. US Bowling Automatic Scoring
  1. LIMITED WARRANTIES
  1. Warranties on all installed US BOWLING  Products shall be to the degree hereinafter set forth. US BOWLING  MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
  2. US BOWLING  warrants that all such items related to the US BOWLING  Products is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period (beginning at the time of sign off or at which time the system is used in the operation of the bowling center – whichever occurs first.
  1. Scoring Hardware
  1. US Bowling  provides a full TWO YEAR WARRANTY on all scoring hardware and Electrical components. Excludes Software.  Covers only Front Desk, Back Office Computers, Printers and related equipment, Scoring Chassis, Camera Assembly, Pinsetter Interface, Bowlers Terminal Boards, Keypads and LCD Monitors.
  2. Any upgrades that necessitate the addition of any hardware, or systems other than software shall be offered at the prevailing market price. Any software upgrades offered during the first 24 months that include or involve license or royalty fees paid to third parties, shall be offered to Purchaser with the understanding that the Purchaser is responsible for the payment of such third party fees. 
  3. Normal maintenance procedures and adjustments are the responsibility of the Purchaser. Normal wear and tear from operation of the equipment is not covered under the terms of this warranty.
  4. Any defect which occurs during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at US BOWLING ’s option, without charge to the Purchaser for parts. 
  5. This warranty only covers items against manufactures defects and does not cover failures caused by malicious damage such as being hit by bowling ball, acts of god such at power surges and lightning strikes or human error.  
  6. US BOWLING  shall not be responsible for any changes that may take place after delivery or installation caused by atmospheric conditions, moisture in the building or developing from causes over which it has no control such as lightning, water, fire, acts of war, public disturbance, and incorrect main voltage.
  7. Under no circumstances shall US BOWLING  be liable for loss of profits or other direct, indirect or consequential costs, expenses, losses or damages arising out of defects in or failure of the equipment. 
  8. The cost of any service calls made by US BOWLING  which result from the inability of the Purchaser’s mechanic to perform required adjustments or maintenance, shall be charged to Purchaser and be payable immediately.
  9. Issues found from Viruses, spyware, or trojans caused by internet usage or unapproved software are not covered by this warranty policy and all cost associated will be at the sole cost of the purchaser.
  10. Installation of new or Aftermarket products that are installed by center personnel or third party installers is prohibited.  Any costs associated with the technical support and repair of such software installed will be at the sole expense of the purchaser.
  1. Extended Warranty
  1. Once the initial warranty period has expired, the Purchaser is offered an Extended Warranty Contract for a period of twelve (12) months renewable annually.    
  2. The Extended Warranty Contract is effective on a yearly basis.  The Extended Warranty Contract is written to extend the initial twenty four (24) month warranty by adding an additional 12 months to the original warranty. This warranty can be extend yearly by simply signing a new 12 month extended warranty policy that will be sent to you starting 6 months prior to expiration.  Once warranty coverage has been discontinued, it cannot be renewed.  
  3. US BOWLING  parts covered under the extended warranty are: Scoring Chassis, Camera Assembly, Pinsetter Interface, Monitor Boards, Bowler Terminal Boards and Keypads.  Equipment Replacement parts may be new, reconditioned, or compatible, listed on the exchange/extended warranty list.
  4. If the Purchaser elects not to extend the Initial Warranty, the Purchaser may elect to participate in an Exchange Program.  The Exchange Program offers a discounted price on replacing warranty parts.  The Purchaser is required to return the part being exchanged in order to receive the discounted price.
  1. Technical Support Policy And Procedures

Whether the Purchaser is covered under the initial, extended warranty or exchange program, the following procedure must be followed by the Purchaser:

  1. Contact the Technical Support Department toll free at 877-858-2695 or 909-548-0644 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00am PST.. After hours or on weekends call the toll free number and you will be given cell phone information to contact the on duty technical service person. 
  2. If the solution requires the replacement of parts, the technician will advise the Purchaser of the part that needs to be sent to the center and the part to be returned from the center.  US BOWLING will ship the part to customer and include a returned postage along with the item.  Purchaser is to place the warranted or exchanged item in the box and place the supplied return label, and call freight company to pick up the item.  Purchaser is responsible for shipping charges.
  3. Parts are due back to US BOWLING  within fifteen (15) days of shipment of the replacement part using the mailing label provided with the parts shipment from US Bowling .  Upon receipt of the part from the Purchaser, US BOWLING will inspect the part and determine whether the Purchaser is entitled to full, partial or no credit.  Parts not received from the Purchaser within the requested fifteen (15) day period will be invoiced to the Purchaser at full value with no credit.
  1. US Bowling  Interactive Games

a)    Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after installation. 

b)    Not Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after delivery. 

c)    Computers, terminals, projectors, and third party software – Seller passes through original   manufacturer’s warranty only and does not separately warrant computers, terminals or third party software.  See product documentation for details. 

d)    Seller Software – Seller warrants that software will perform in accordance with functional specifications at delivery.  This warranty specifically excludes all business risks associated with installing, operating and use of this software or system, including, but not limited to, business interruption and lost profits. 

  1. Modernization Equipment

Products consisting of masking units, ball return systems, power ball lifts, ball hoods and racks, capping and gutters, Lighted Capping, Z-Bump bumpers, Lighting, Sound, Video systems, and Tel-E-Foul units are warranted as follows:  

a)    Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after installation. 

b)    Not Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after delivery. 

c)    Third Party Lighting, Sound, Video screens, Projectors, Paging and Laser Systems– Seller passes through original manufacturer’s warranty only and does not separately warrant these items. See product documentation for details. 

NOTE: Z-Bump bumpers are warranted only when used as a training aid as intended for persons weighing less than 80 pounds, using a bowling ball weighing ten (10) pounds or less. Any other usage constitutes abuse or misuse of the equipment and is not covered by this warranty. 

  1. Furniture

Vantech or Celebrity furniture products are warranted against manufacture defects as follows:

a)   Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after installation. 

b)   Not Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after delivery. 

  1. Rollerball Mini Bowling – Installed by an Authorized Installer
  1. Electrical Components – Chassis, motors, gearboxes and cables- 1 years after installation.
  2. Mechanical Components – All major mechanical components are covered against manufactures defects – 1 years after installation
  3. Normal Wear Components– Normal daily wear items, including but not limited to rubber components, belts, bushings and bearings – 90 days after installation
  1. Rollerball Mini Bowling– Installed by an Authorized Installer
  1. Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after installation. 
  2. Not Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after delivery. 
  3. Digital Signage players, video extenders, and third party software – Seller passes through original manufacturer’s warranty only and does not separately warrant Digital Signage players, video extenders, or third party software.  See product documentation for details. 
  1. Duck Pin – Installed by an Authorized Installer
  1. Electrical Components – Chassis, motors, gearboxes and cables- 1 years after installation.
  2. Mechanical Components – All major mechanical components are covered against manufactures defects – 1 years after installation
  3. Normal Wear Components– Normal daily wear items, including but not limited to rubber components, belts, bushings and bearings – 90 days after installation

11.  U.S. Bowling Media & Mega Media Mask Video Masking Units 

a) Installed by Seller or a Seller-authorized installer – 1 year after installation. (Excluding Projector Bulbs). 

b) Video Masking Unit Projector– Seller  passes through original manufacturer’s warranty only and does not separately warrant projectors. 

Projector Bulbs – 90 days after installation. 

12.  Aftermarket and Consumer Goods  

  1. Pins – Limited 1 year after delivery.  See “Limited One-Year Tenpin Warranty” documentation supplied with product for details. 
  2. Finishes and Supplies – 90 days after delivery. 
  3. Kegel Lane Machines – 1 year after installation (Excludes high wear parts). 
  1. Maintenance Machines for Lanes and Accessories – as specified in the applicable product manual. 
  2. Performance Balls – Urethane – 1 year after delivery. 
  3. Urethane house balls – 1 year after delivery (except 6 & 7 lb) 
  4. Standard Urethane house ball (6lb & 7lb) -90 days after delivery 
  5. Rental Shoes -90 days after delivery 
  6. Premium Rental Shoes – 1 year after delivery 

13.  Installation. 

Seller warrants labor associated with installation by Seller employed installers of new products (excluding Aftermarket products) as follows: 

  1. Lanes and Components – 1 year after installation. 
  2. Other New Products (excluding Aftermarket products) – 90 days after installation. 
  3. This installation warranty does not cover required adjustments or maintenance.  Buyer is responsible for the cost of any service call made during the installation warranty period if the service call results from Buyer’s failure or inability to perform such adjustments or maintenance. 

14.  Used Products.  

Used equipment and software are provided “as is,” “with all faults,” and without warranty unless specifically stated otherwise in writing. 

  1. What is Not Covered: 
  1. This Warranty Does Not Cover Damage or Defects caused By: 
  1. Repairs, replacements, or modifications made by anyone other than Seller or a Seller-authorized installer. 
  2. Abuse, misuse, accident, alteration, tampering, neglect, or lack of reasonable care. 
  3. Buyer’s failure to maintain products in accordance with applicable product manuals and service bulletins.
  4. Buyer’s failure to meet specified electrical requirements, including proper installation by a qualified electrician of isolated grounds or surge suppressors. 
  5. Water, atmospheric conditions, moisture, storms, lightning, movement of the building, lane foundations (i.e., joists, stringers, underlayment, and underlying wood lane if lane is installed over a wood lane), panels, or other surfaces, or from other causes over which Seller has no control. 
  6. Lane cleaning, conditioning or maintenance machines. 
  7. Removal or reinstallation of lanes or shrinking, swelling, sticking, or slipping of lane foundations (i.e., joists, stringers, underlayment and underlying wood lane if lane is installed over a wood lane), panels, or surfaces due to temperature or humidity conditions outside limits specified in applicable product manuals. 
  8. Viruses, spyware, or trojans caused by internet usage or unapproved software. 
  9. Installation of new or Aftermarket products that are installed by center personnel or third party installers. 
  10. Noise or vibration of pinsetter. 
  11. Variation in color, texture, and finish between samples and actual product. 
  12. Damage associated with improper transportation or storage. 

F.   What Seller Will Do 

  1. Unless otherwise specifically stated in this warranty, Seller may, in its sole discretion, elect to repair, replace, or send replacement material(s) for the defective part (or correct installation), refund Buyer’s purchase price, or credit the cost of a replacement part, as determined by Seller. Buyer has no other remedies under this warranty. 

G.   How And When To Make Warranty Claims / Obtain Service 

  1. Warranty claims must be made within thirty days of discovery of a defect by calling the US Bowling warranty department at 877-858-2695.  Additionally, all claims must be made prior the expiration of the warranty period.
  2. If troubleshooting procedures provided by US Bowling Customer service department r or as described in the applicable service manual do not resolve the issue, return the assembly to US Bowling Corporation – 5480 Schaefer Ave, Chino, Ca 91710 freight prepaid, with a copy of a US Bowling or Repair Traveler. Seller will send an exchange assembly, freight prepaid, within a reasonable time, but no more than five (5) business days after receipt of Buyer’s assembly.

H.   Disclaimer Of Warranty 

  1. Seller makes no warranty, express or implied (including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) other than those expressly set out in this Schedule.  Oral or written statements made by Seller dealers, distributors, agents, or sales representatives that are inconsistent with this warranty are not authorized by Seller and have no force or effect.
